How to Delete Your Account

If you wish to delete your Fanbeam account and all associated data, you have three options:

Option 1: Via Dashboard (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your Fanbeam account at fanbeam.app/login
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account
  3. Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm deletion by entering your password
  6. Your account and data will be permanently deleted within 24 hours

Option 2: Via Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer email communication:

  1. Send an email to privacy@fanbeam.app
  2. Include in your email:
    • Your registered email address
    • Your full name
    • Your organization/workspace name (if applicable)
    • Confirmation that you want to delete all data
  3. We will verify your identity and process the request
  4. Deletion will be completed within 30 days of your request
  5. You will receive a confirmation email when complete

Option 3: For Facebook/Instagram Users

If you connected Fanbeam via Facebook Login or Instagram:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites (or Instagram Settings → Security → Apps and Websites)
  2. Find "Fanbeam" in the list
  3. Click "Remove" to revoke access
  4. Then follow Option 1 or 2 above to delete your Fanbeam data

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, password, and profile
  • Content: All scheduled posts, published posts, drafts, and post history
  • Media: All uploaded images, videos, and media files
  • Social Accounts: OAuth tokens and connections to social media platforms
  • Organizations: Workspaces you own (including all member data)
  • Teams: Your team memberships and invitations
  • Settings: All preferences and configurations

What We Retain (Legal Requirements)

For legal, security, and business purposes, we retain certain data for specified periods:

  • Billing Records: Invoices, receipts, and payment history (7 years for tax compliance)
  • Security Logs: Authentication logs and security events (30 days)
  • Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized usage statistics with no personal identifiers
  • Legal Hold: Data subject to legal proceedings or investigations (duration of case)

This retention complies with GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure) and CCPA requirements.

Important Considerations

⚠️ Account deletion is permanent and irreversible

  • Once deleted, you cannot recover your account, posts, or media
  • Active subscriptions will be canceled (no prorated refunds)
  • If you own an organization, all team members will lose access
  • Scheduled posts will not be published after deletion
  • Social media connections will be revoked but already published posts remain on platforms

Alternative: Pause Subscription Instead

If you're not ready to permanently delete your account, consider:

  • Cancel Subscription: Stop billing while keeping your data (Settings → Billing)
  • Disconnect Platforms: Remove social media connections without deleting posts
  • Leave Organization: Exit a workspace without deleting your account
